Judges Critique

 


I would like to thank the officers and committee for their invitation to judge at their Ch. Show.  This appointment postponed due to COVID, eventually took place which I was looking forward to.  The weather was not very kind to us resulting in having to move inside just after judging began, however, there was a spacious ring inside the venue.
Puppy Dog: (4,1abs)
1st – Sawer’s BOUGHTON BACK ON TOP, well bodied youngster who needs to mature and settle on the move, good head and length of neck, well placed shoulder, good topline, chest is deep with good ribs, nice sweep to underline, good legs and feet, nicely muscled quarters, BPD & Res. BPIS.
2nd – Holder & Boggia’s BOUGHTON BACK ON TRACK, another nice youngster who also needs to settle on the move and mature, liked his make and shape, good head and length of neck, well placed shoulder, good body with deep chest, good topline and underline, good legs and feet, nicely muscled quarters.
3rd – Langcake & Short’s BOUGHTON BACK IN BUSINESS AT LANGSHOR.
Junior Dog: (2)
1st – Sawer’s BOUGHTON BACK ON TOP.
2nd – Holder & Boggia’s BOUGHTON BACK ON TRACK.
Yearling Dog: (1)
1st – Wilce-Quinton’s AZRAVI’S MARKED BY THE SUNRISE AT KIRJOJAX (Imp Nor), tall dog who presents a nice outline and moves out in side profile, liked his head and length of neck, good front assembly, chest was deep, level back, nicely muscled quarters with good width to thighs, good legs and feet.
Post Grad. Dog: (3)
1st – Howlett & Boggia’s RUBICON’S DON’T STOP BELIEVING (Imp USA), liked his make and shape, he is well balanced with a good head and length of neck, well placed shoulder, well bodied with deep chest and good ribbing, nice fill-in of forechest, good legs and feet, good topline and sweep to underline, well bent muscled quarters, good mover, Res. CC.
2nd – Clarke’s SKY HI HUNT LONDON CALLING, this boy presents a nice outline and balance, good head and neck, well bodied with a deep chest, good legs and feet, well-muscled quarters, moved well.
3rd – Hodgson’s ONE DAY TOM.

Limit Dog: (3,2abs)
1st – Sawer’s BOUGHTON BACK ON TOP.
Open Dog: (3)
1st – Boggia’s CH & DK CH FIONN CLANN LUCULLUS FOR BOUGHTON (Imp Rus), liked his make and shape, a well-balanced mature outline, good head and length of neck, well laid shoulder with good fill-in of forechest, good legs and feet, well bodied with deep chest and good ribbing, elbows well under, good topline and nice sweep to underline, well-muscled quarters with good width to 1st & 2nd thighs, moved well, CC & Res. BIS.
2nd – Harrison-Stratford’s CH SOUTHPOINT NIEMEYER AT HIGHWICK (Imp Prt), another well balanced male who has a good head and length of neck, well placed shoulder, well filled forechest, good body with deep chest and good ribbing, nice sweep to underline, well-muscled quarters, a little untidy moving in front today.
3rd – Bogart’s CH INA’S FASHION FLAIR AT INCITATUS (Imp Deu).
Spec. Racing/Lure Coursing Dog: (3)
1st – Pears GREYFORT MUSTANG, nice boy with a good head and length of neck, good front assembly with a nice body, good underline, good legs and feet, nice quarters, moved well.
2nd – Hodgson’s ONE DAY TOM, good head and length of neck, well bodied with good ribbing, good legs and feet, well-muscled quarters, moved well.
3rd – Balls’ SATTEO JET.
Veteran Dog: (3,1abs)
1st – Spurr’s GRANDCRU PIERRO FOR SUTTONELMS ShCex, nice make and shape holding his outline in side profile on the move, good head and length of neck, good front assembly, deep chest, good legs and feet, nice sweep to underline, nicely muscled quarters, moved well, Res. BVIS.
2nd – Mallen-Wallace’s DROOPYS TAVERN, good head and strong neck, well bodied with good ribbing, good legs and feet, good underline, well-muscled quarters, moved steady.
Spec. Racing/Lure Coursing Veteran Dog: (3)
1st – Thompson’s PUPPY EYES AT MUICKS, liked his make and shape, good head and length of neck, nice front assembly, well bodied with deep chest and good ribs, good legs and feet, well-muscled quarters with nice bend of stifle, good true mover, Best Racing & Coursing Dog & BR&C in Show.
2nd – Mallen-Wallace’s DROOPYS TAVERN.
3rd – Bakewell’s AFFLECK BARNEY BESTEST BUD.

1st – Boggia’s BOUGHTON BACK IN STYLE, promising puppy, liked her make and shape, good head on a long neck, good front assembly, clean through the withers, good body with deep chest, good legs and feet, nice sweeping underline, nicely muscled quarters, moved steady.
2nd – Boggia’s BOUGHTON BACK FOR GOOD, another nice type more houndy than winner, good head and length of neck, well placed shoulder, good body, deep chest, good legs and feet, nice sweep to underline, nicely muscled quarters, moved steady.

2nd – Sawyer’s INCHYDONEY MEMORIES UNE VIRGIN MARY AVEC STONELOW (Imp Fra), good head and length of neck, fair front assembly, deep chest, good body, nice sweep to underline, muscled quarters, needs to tighten in front.

2nd – Langcake’s SOUTHPOINT NORMANDIA AT LANGSHOR (Imp Prt), another nice shapely bitch with a good head and length of neck, well placed shoulder, nice topline and underline, deep chest, good legs and feet, nicely muscled quarters, needs to settle in movement.

2nd – Cutter’s CH ZORADEN MY GIRL AT CHOSOVI, another lovely type who is shapely and well balanced, liked her head and length of neck, good front assembly, well bodied with deep chest, good topline and underline, nicely muscled quarters, moved steady.
